1. What age is this truck suitable for?
It's an excellent first hobby-grade truck for kids around 10 and up. The included transmitter features a built-in throttle limiter (50%, 75%, 100%) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), allowing parents to dial back the speed while they learn. When they build confidence, you can unleash full power.
2. Do I need to buy a battery separately?
Yes, the Quake does not come with a battery or charger in the box. You will need a 2S or 3S LiPo battery with an IC5 or EC5 connector, plus a compatible LiPo charger. Check out our "Smarter Choice" bundle above to grab everything you need to run immediately!
3. How fast does it actually go?
On a standard 2S LiPo battery, the Quake rips at 55+ KM/H right out of the box. If you drop in a 3S LiPo battery, the 4000Kv brushless motor explodes past 80+ KM/H for pro-level monster truck bashing.
4. Is it waterproof?
Yes, the factory-installed Spektrum electronics (ESC, receiver, and steering servo) are all waterproof. The fun doesn't have to stop when you hit puddles, mud, or wet grass—just be sure to dry, clean and service the truck after running in the wet to avoid rust or wear.
5. What happens if it breaks — can I get spare parts?
Unlike cheap toy-grade cars, the ARRMA Quake is a 100% modular, repairable hobby platform. We supply the full range of genuine ARRMA spare parts and upgrades right here at our Geebung warehouse, so you'll never be stuck and unable to get back on the dirt.
