The Traxxas 10996 Pro Scale LED Light Kit is a complete lighting upgrade for the Traxxas Funco Pro Scale Sand Car, adding front and rear light bars, left and right side pod lights and a high-voltage power amplifier with selectable lighting modes and functional brake and reverse lighting.

FAQ

Does Traxxas 10996 fit other Traxxas models? Traxxas 10996 is specifically designed for the Funco Pro Scale Sand Car. The mounts, wiring and amplifier installation are matched to that vehicle, so it should not be assumed to fit other Traxxas platforms.

Does the Traxxas 10996 kit include the high-voltage power amplifier? Yes. The complete 10996 kit includes the high-voltage power amplifier along with the front light bar, rear light bar, side pod lights, wiring and installation hardware.

Does the rear light bar have brake and reverse lights? Yes. The Pro Scale amplifier controls functional tail lights, brake lights and reverse lights as part of the rear lighting system.

Are there different lighting modes? Yes. The amplifier's Mode Select button cycles between Low Beam, High Beam and Daytime modes.

Is installation completely bolt-on? Most components use dedicated mounting locations, but the official instructions require minor body modification for the side pod lights. Two small 4.35mm mounting holes are made on each side using the supplied templates. A tapered body reamer and suitable 2.0mm and 2.5mm hex tools are required separately.

Can the lighting system be controlled through the Traxxas Link App? Additional power-amplifier settings and functions can be accessed through the Traxxas Link App when the vehicle is equipped with a compatible TQi transmitter and Traxxas Link Wireless Module 6511, sold separately.
