The ARRMA TYPHON 6S BLX V5 is a high-performance 1/8 scale brushless buggy engineered for fast off-road bashing, large jumps and high-speed runs. Its low-profile buggy layout, wide stance and powerful 6S-capable electronics deliver sharp handling and extreme acceleration across dirt, gravel, short grass and firm mixed surfaces.
A Spektrum Firma 150A Smart ESC and 4074 2050Kv brushless motor provide smooth, responsive power on compatible 4S or 6S LiPo batteries. With a suitable 6S setup, the optional high-speed pinion and appropriate driving conditions, the TYPHON can achieve speeds above 70mph or 113km/h.
The V5 platform combines a strong aluminium chassis with steel drivetrain components, three oil-filled differentials and an EXB-compatible front chassis brace. A large waterproof receiver box, waterproof steering servo and modular component layout support dependable operation and straightforward maintenance.

FAQ
Is the ARRMA TYPHON 6S V5 ready to run? The buggy is factory assembled with its motor, ESC, receiver and steering servo installed. Drive batteries, charger and four AA transmitter batteries are required separately.
Can the TYPHON V5 run on 4S? Yes. The factory electronics support both 4S and 6S LiPo power. A 4S setup provides strong performance with more manageable acceleration and speed.
How fast is the ARRMA TYPHON 6S? ARRMA states that speeds above 70mph or 113km/h are achievable in optimum conditions using a suitable 6S LiPo setup and optional high-speed pinion.
Is the high-speed pinion included? Product packages can vary by market and production run. Check the box contents before use. High-speed gearing should only be used for controlled speed runs with careful temperature monitoring.
Can I use one 6S battery? Yes. A compatible 4S to 6S battery can be used. ARRMA specifies softcase battery construction for 6S applications, so confirm the battery dimensions, construction and connector before purchasing.
Can I use two batteries? Yes. Two compatible 2S or 3S LiPo batteries can be connected in series to provide 4S or 6S total voltage.
Does the included transmitter provide Smart telemetry? The installed Firma ESC is Smart compatible, but full telemetry display may require an upgraded compatible Spektrum transmitter and suitable Smart battery.
Is this buggy suitable for beginners? The TYPHON 6S is a high-powered hobby-grade model intended for experienced or closely supervised drivers. Beginning on 4S in a large open area is recommended before progressing to 6S.
Can it be driven in wet conditions? The installed electronic components are designed for use in damp conditions, but the complete vehicle is not waterproof and must not be submerged.
What terrain is the TYPHON designed for? It is suited to dirt, gravel, compact off-road surfaces, short grass and large open areas. Its relatively low buggy ride height is less suitable for deep grass or heavily rutted terrain.
Important Notes
- Drive batteries, LiPo charger and four AA transmitter batteries are not included
- Use only compatible LiPo batteries that fit securely within the battery tray
- ARRMA specifies softcase battery construction when using a single 6S LiPo battery
- The 70+mph speed claim requires suitable 6S power, optional high-speed gearing and optimum conditions
- High-speed gearing is intended for controlled speed runs and may cause increased motor and ESC temperatures
- Check motor, ESC and battery temperatures regularly when running on 6S
- Allow all electronics to cool between high-load runs
- Water-resistant electronics do not make the entire vehicle waterproof
- Never operate the buggy near pedestrians, public roads or parked vehicles
- Follow all LiPo battery charging, handling and storage precautions
