Is the Joysway Binary V3 ready to run? It is supplied substantially assembled as an RTR sailboat with the radio equipment, servos, sails, mast, keels and stand included. Some straightforward rigging and final assembly are required before sailing.

Does the Binary V3 include batteries? No. Four AA alkaline batteries are required for the transmitter and three AAA alkaline batteries are required for the receiver battery box.

Does the Joysway Binary V3 have an electric motor? No. The Binary V3 is a wind-powered RC sailboat. The radio system controls the sail position and twin rudders, while the wind provides propulsion.

What is Smart Sail Control? The V3 receiver contains an angle-sensing system that can detect excessive heel during strong or gusty wind and automatically ease the sails. This helps the boat return towards a more upright attitude and reduces the likelihood of capsizing.

Does Smart Sail Control prevent the boat from ever capsizing? No. It is an assistance feature intended to reduce the risk of capsizing, not a guarantee. Wind strength, sail trim, waves and operating conditions can still overturn a small catamaran.
