FAQ

Is the Joysway DF95 V3 completely ready to sail out of the box? The RTR version includes the radio equipment and installed servos, but final mast, keel, sail and rigging assembly and adjustment are still required before launching.

What batteries are required for the DF95 V3? The FlySky i6 transmitter requires four AA alkaline batteries and the boat's receiver system requires another four AA alkaline batteries. These batteries are not included.

What do the controls operate? The rudder servo controls steering, while the sail winch adjusts the main and jib sheets together to control sail trim as the boat changes direction relative to the wind.

What changed from the previous DF95 to the V3? Joysway and the DF International Class Association introduced the V3 updates from February 2025. Changes include a more accurate digital sail winch, improved stainless bearings, revised switch mounting, stronger linkage and rigging components, improved sail reinforcement and several fit-and-finish updates.

Do the V3 changes make it faster than earlier DF95 boats? No. Joysway states that the V3 updates were designed to improve build quality and reliability without changing the performance level of the DF95 one-design class.

Is the DF95 suitable for organised racing? Yes. The Dragon Flite 95 is designed around the DF95 restricted one-design racing class. For sanctioned competition, OZRC recommends checking the current DF95 class rules before modifying the boat, sails, rigging or electronics.
