FAQ

Is the Joysway Focus V3 completely ready to sail out of the box? The RTR package includes the radio system and installed servos, but final mast, keel, sail and rigging assembly and adjustment are required before launching.

What batteries are required? Four AA alkaline batteries are required for the transmitter and another four AA alkaline batteries are required for the receiver battery box. The eight AA batteries are not included.

Does the Joysway Focus V3 use an electric motor? No. The Focus V3 is a wind-powered sailboat. The radio system controls the rudder and sail position while the sails provide propulsion.

What changed on the Focus V3? Joysway lists revised jib attachment to the head crane, adjusted boom length, revised sail sizing and reduced overall weight among the V3 changes compared with the earlier Focus.

Is JW-8812B the same as Joysway 8812V3B? JW-8812B is used as a supplier SKU for the blue Focus V3, while Joysway's current manufacturer designation is 8812V3B and many international retailers use JW8812V3B.
