FAQ

Are the RC4WD King 70mm shocks supplied with oil? No. The RC4WD Z-D0062 shocks are supplied without shock oil. OZRC recommends filling them with suitable silicone shock oil and applying thick shock grease to the X-ring seals for optimal damping and seal performance.

Does the 70mm measurement refer to the overall shock length? No. The RC4WD King 70mm shocks measure 70mm between the mounting holes when fully extended. Their overall length is approximately 80mm, and the compressed mounting-hole distance is 57mm.

Will these shocks fit a Traxxas TRX-4 or TRX-6? RC4WD lists Z-D0062 as compatible with selected Traxxas TRX-4 and TRX-6 vehicles, including the TRX-4 Sport, Land Rover Defender, Bronco and Mercedes-Benz G 500 configurations. Check the required shock length and suspension geometry before installation, as the 70mm shocks may change the vehicle's ride height and available suspension travel.

Can these shocks be installed on an Axial SCX10 III? RC4WD specifies using a 5mm black spacer with an M3 hole, part Z-S0821, at the shock tower when fitting these shocks to the Axial SCX10 III. Additional suspension setup adjustments may be necessary.

Important Notes

• Shock oil is not included. Suitable silicone shock oil and thick shock grease are recommended for assembly and operation.
• Each pack contains two shocks. Two packs are required to replace all four shocks on a typical four-shock RC crawler.
• The 70mm dimension is measured between the mounting holes at full extension, not from end to end.
• Installation may change ride height, suspension travel and articulation compared with the original shocks.
