The RPM Castle Mamba X ESC Cage is a black nylon mounting cage for Castle Mamba X speed controllers in compatible 1/10 Traxxas vehicles, providing secure bolt-on retention while maintaining cooling-fan access.

FAQ

Does this ESC cage fit the Traxxas Rustler Stampede 2WD or Bandit? Yes, provided the vehicle is fitted with the Traxxas 3725 ESC mounting plate. This plate is standard equipment on applicable VXL models, but OZRC recommends confirming it is present before ordering.

Can the Castle Mamba X cooling fan remain installed? Yes. The RPM cage surrounds the ESC body while leaving the cooling-fan area open, allowing the Mamba X to be used with or without its fan.

Is the Castle Mamba X ESC included? No. The package contains the RPM cage, switch holder and installation screws only. The ESC, vehicle and tools are sold separately.

Important Notes

  • A 1.25 mm or 0.05 inch hex driver is required for the switch-mount screws and is not included
  • Traxxas Rustler, Stampede 2WD and Bandit installations require the Traxxas 3725 ESC mounting plate
  • Custom vehicle installations require enough chassis space and may require drilling and tapping two 3 mm mounting holes
  • Check wire clearance around the ESC case, battery leads and power connectors during installation
  • Tighten the cage screws only until slightly snug to avoid damaging the nylon components
