Why does the paint appear clear or faint when first sprayed? This is normal. Colour Change paint is intentionally translucent and should be applied in several light, even coats. The dramatic colour-shifting effect develops after the required black backing coat is applied.

Which backing colour should I use? Spaz Stix High Gloss Black/Backer (SZX00110 or SZX00119) is required to achieve the intended colour-changing effect and maximum depth.

Should I prepare the body before painting? Yes. Spaz Stix recommends applying a light mist of Surface Pre-Prep (SZX90050 or SZX90059) before painting to remove fingerprints and minimise unwanted swirls.

Can this paint be used on surfaces other than polycarbonate? Yes. For external applications, apply the black backing colour first as the base coat, followed by the Colour Change paint and a compatible clear coat for protection and gloss.
