Does this paint need to be thinned before airbrushing? No. It is supplied pre-thinned and can be poured directly into a suitable airbrush.

Why does the paint appear clear or faint when first applied? Colour Change paint is intentionally translucent. Apply several light, even coats to build consistent coverage before adding the required black backing coat.

Which backing colour should I use? Spaz Stix High Gloss Black/Backer SZX00110 or SZX00119 is required to develop the intended colour-changing effect. Dark backing colours provide the strongest colour shift.

Should the body be prepared before painting? Yes. Clean the body thoroughly and apply a fine mist of Spaz Stix Surface Pre-Prep SZX90050 or SZX90059 to help remove fingerprints and reduce unwanted swirls in the finish.

Can this paint be used for an external application? Yes. For external applications, apply the black backer as the base coat first, followed by the Colour Change paint and a compatible clear coat for protection and gloss.

• Apply a fine mist of Spaz Stix Surface Pre-Prep before painting for the best finish.
• Apply several light, even coats rather than heavy coats.
• Allow the colour-change layers to dry evenly before applying the black backing coat.
• Apply paint to the inside of clear polycarbonate bodies unless completing an external paint application.
• For external applications, apply the black backer first and finish with a compatible clear coat such as Spaz Stix SZX90109.
• Test compatibility before applying to materials other than polycarbonate.
