Rather than behaving like an opaque blue paint, the pearl layer allows the backing colour to show through, creating a deep iridescent finish with changing highlights under different lighting.

For standard clear RC bodies painted from the inside, apply several light, even coats of Sapphire Blue Pearl first and allow them to dry before applying a solid backing colour. Black creates a darker, deeper finish, while white produces a brighter classic pearl appearance. Different backing colours can also be experimented with to create custom finishes.
