The Spaz Stix Sky Blue Mirror Chrome Airbrush Ready Paint is an enamel-based, pre-thinned chrome paint designed specifically for clear polycarbonate RC car and truck bodies. It produces a brilliant reflective Sky Blue chrome finish and must be backed with Spaz Stix Ultimate Black Backer to achieve maximum reflectivity, durability and depth.

FAQ

Does this paint require a backing coat? Yes. Spaz Stix Ultimate Black Backer (SZX10200 or SZX10209) is required to achieve the intended mirror chrome finish, maximum reflectivity and long-term durability.

Do I need to thin this paint before airbrushing? No. The paint is supplied pre-thinned and is ready to pour directly into your airbrush.

Can this paint be used on surfaces other than polycarbonate? Yes. For external applications, apply Ultimate Black Backer first, followed by the Mirror Chrome, then seal it with Spaz Stix Ultimate Clear Coat using several very light coats.

Why are light clear coats important? Applying heavy clear coats can dull the mirror chrome effect. Several light coats with adequate drying time help preserve the maximum reflective finish.

Important Notes

• Ultimate Black Backer (SZX10200 or SZX10209) is required to achieve the intended mirror chrome effect.
• For polycarbonate RC bodies, apply the chrome to the inside of the body and back it with Ultimate Black Backer.
• For external applications, apply Ultimate Black Backer first, followed by the chrome paint, then protect it with Spaz Stix Ultimate Clear Coat (SZX10900 or SZX10909).
• Apply clear coat only in very light coats with adequate drying time between coats to minimise loss of reflectivity.
• The full mirror chrome effect is more difficult to achieve on external applications than on polycarbonate bodies.
• Always practise on a scrap piece before painting your final project.
• Test compatibility before applying to materials other than polycarbonate.
