The Tamiya TA08R is a limited-edition 1/10 scale competition touring car chassis kit designed for racers wanting a belt-driven 4WD platform with key aluminium, carbon fibre and TRF upgrade parts included from the start.

Based on the TA08 PRO, the TA08R adds a 2.0mm carbon fibre upper deck, aluminium suspension and steering components, carbon fibre damper stays, Super Short Big Bore oil dampers and upgraded drive shafts. The chassis is supplied without a body, motor, electronics, wheels or tyres so the builder can select equipment to suit their preferred racing class and track conditions.

FAQ

Does the Tamiya TA08R include a motor and ESC? No. The TA08R chassis kit requires a compatible motor, pinion gear and electronic speed controller to be purchased separately.

Does the TA08R include a body, wheels and tyres? No. A compatible 1/10 touring car body, wheels, tyres and tyre inserts are required separately. OZRC recommends checking the racing class rules before selecting these components.

What is the difference between the TA08R and TA08 PRO? The TA08R adds numerous aluminium, carbon fibre and TRF components, including an upper deck, carbon damper stays, upgraded drive shafts, adjustable suspension mounts and Super Short Big Bore dampers.

Is the TA08R suitable for beginners? The TA08R can be assembled by an experienced hobby builder, but its adjustable racing chassis and separately selected electronics make it better suited to intermediate and advanced touring car users.
