FAQ
Will Team Corally C-72419 fit my RC car? It can be used where the vehicle requires a 48DP pinion, the motor has a 5mm shaft and there is sufficient clearance for the 13mm short-format gear. OZRC recommends confirming all three specifications before ordering.
Can a 48DP pinion be used with a 32DP or Mod 1 spur gear? No. The pinion and spur gear must use the same gear pitch. C-72419 is specifically a 48DP pinion and should be paired with a compatible 48DP spur gear.
What effect does changing to a 19T pinion have? The result depends on the existing pinion and spur gear. Compared with a smaller pinion, a 19T gear generally produces taller gearing, while compared with a larger pinion it produces shorter gearing. Motor and ESC temperatures should be checked after any gearing change.
What tool is required for the grub screw? Team Corally specifies a 2.0mm hex key for the pinion retaining screw.
Important Notes
- Requires a compatible 5mm motor shaft
- Use only with a compatible 48DP spur gear
- Check available motor-mount and spur-gear clearance for the 13mm short-format pinion
- Set the correct pinion-to-spur gear mesh before operating the vehicle
- Monitor motor and ESC temperatures after changing gearing
