Is the Traxxas TRX-4 Sport ready to run out of the box? The TRX-4 Sport arrives factory assembled with motor, ESC, radio system and body installed. A compatible drive battery, charger and four AA transmitter batteries are required before driving.

What batteries can the TRX-4 Sport use? The XL-5 HV speed controller supports compatible 6–7 cell NiMH or 2S–3S LiPo batteries. Select a pack with the correct connector and physical dimensions, and use the appropriate ESC battery mode.

Does the TRX-4 Sport have portal axles? Yes. Portal axles increase ground clearance beneath the axle housings, helping the truck negotiate rocks, roots and other trail obstacles.

Does the TRX-4 Sport have locking differentials? The Sport uses permanently locked front and rear axle spools rather than remotely selectable locking differentials. This provides continuous traction for technical crawling.

Are the electronics waterproof? The TRX-4 Sport is equipped with waterproof-rated electronics for operation in wet trail conditions. Waterproof electronics do not make the entire vehicle maintenance-free, so clean and dry the truck after wet or muddy use.
