Which batteries are compatible? The VXL-3s supports 4–9 cell NiMH batteries and 2S or 3S LiPo battery packs with built-in Low-Voltage Detection for safe LiPo operation.

Is this ESC waterproof? Yes. The VXL-3s is designed for all-weather operation, including wet grass, mud and puddles. However, it should be cleaned and dried after use, and prolonged submersion or exposure to corrosive conditions should be avoided.

What drive modes are available? The ESC features Sport Mode (Forward/Brake/Reverse), Race Mode (Forward/Brake) and Training Mode, which limits power to approximately 50% for beginner drivers.

Can I use this with any brushless motor? It is designed for sensorless brushless motors and is the factory ESC used with Traxxas Velineon brushless systems. Always ensure your motor and gearing are suitable for your battery voltage and vehicle.

Does it include Low-Voltage Detection? Yes. Built-in Low-Voltage Detection protects LiPo batteries from over-discharge by reducing power and eventually shutting down the motor when the battery reaches its minimum safe voltage.
