Designed for serious off-road driving, this ready-to-run monster truck combines the proven Velineon 8S brushless system with factory-fitted belted Sledgehammer tyres, delivering explosive acceleration, outstanding stability and exceptional strength across almost any terrain.

The reinforced red clipless body features an internal support cage, integrated roof and tail skids and heavy-duty nerf bars to withstand hard landings and aggressive bashing. Beneath the body, the modular composite chassis, all-metal drivetrain and oversized GTX aluminium shocks are engineered to absorb punishment while remaining easy to service.

Powered by the waterproof Velineon VXL-8s electronic speed controller and Velineon 1200XL 1275kV brushless motor, the X-Maxx is capable of speeds exceeding 80km/h when fitted with the included optional high-speed gearing and powered by two compatible 4S LiPo batteries.

FAQ

Does the X-Maxx include batteries or a charger?
No. Two matching LiPo batteries, a compatible charger and four AA transmitter batteries are required separately.

Can it run on 6S?
Yes. Two matching 3S LiPo batteries provide 6S operation, while two matching 4S packs unlock the truck's full 8S performance.

How fast is the X-Maxx?
Traxxas rates the X-Maxx at over 80km/h (50+mph) when using two compatible 4S LiPo batteries together with the included optional high-speed gearing.

Why are belted tyres better?
The internal reinforcement reduces tyre ballooning at high speed, resulting in more consistent handling, improved steering precision and greater stability.

Is the X-Maxx waterproof?
The installed electronics are waterproof for wet-condition driving, however the vehicle should always be cleaned, dried and maintained after exposure to water or mud.

Is the X-Maxx suitable for beginners?
While supplied fully assembled, the X-Maxx is an extremely large and powerful RC vehicle. New drivers should begin with reduced throttle settings and operate in a large open area.

Important Notes

• Drive batteries, charger and transmitter AA batteries are not included.
• Use only two matching LiPo batteries of identical voltage, capacity, age and discharge rating.
• Never mix 3S and 4S batteries.
• Always use a quality LiPo balance charger.
• Never charge LiPo batteries unattended.
• Do not use damaged, swollen or punctured LiPo batteries.
• Enable the correct battery settings before operating the vehicle.
• The advertised maximum speed requires dual 4S LiPo batteries and the included optional high-speed gearing.
• High-speed gearing is intended for speed runs on smooth surfaces and will increase motor and ESC temperatures.
• Standard gearing is recommended for general bashing, grass and rough terrain.
• Monitor motor and ESC temperatures during extended operation.
• Belted tyres provide less tyre expansion and therefore less in-air rotational control than conventional tyres.
• Inspect tyres, wheel nuts and drivetrain components before each run.
• The X-Maxx weighs over 8kg without batteries and should only be operated in large open areas away from people, animals and traffic.
