FAQ

Does the ARRMA GRANITE 223S include a battery and charger? No. The truck includes the radio system and four AA transmitter batteries, but the main 2S or 3S LiPo battery and compatible charger are sold separately.

What does 223S mean? The 223S system is designed to operate on either 2S or 3S LiPo power. It lets drivers begin at a lower performance level and move to full 3S speed without replacing the motor or ESC.

How fast is the GRANITE 223S? ARRMA advertises speeds exceeding 35mph, or approximately 56km/h, on 2S and more than 50mph, or approximately 80km/h, on 3S. Actual speed varies with battery performance, surface, temperature and vehicle condition.

Is 3S recommended for a new driver? A new driver will generally find a 2S battery and the 50% or 75% transmitter setting easier to control. Full 3S power should be introduced only after the driver is comfortable with the truck's handling and stopping distance.

What does the throttle limiter do? The SLT3 transmitter can limit maximum throttle to 50% or 75%. The 100% position provides full available throttle. This makes it easier to share the truck between drivers with different experience levels.

What is Dynamic Stability Control? DSC makes automatic steering corrections to help the truck maintain its intended direction on loose or slippery surfaces. Four modes are available, including an off setting for unassisted driving.

Does DSC drive the truck automatically? No. The driver remains responsible for steering and throttle. DSC only provides corrective steering assistance when the vehicle begins to slide or deviate from its path.

Can a 2S battery reach 50mph? No. ARRMA rates the truck for over 35mph on 2S. The 50mph-plus claim applies to operation with a suitable 3S LiPo battery.

Does the truck have a centre slipper clutch? This version uses a removable metal-gear centre differential rather than a conventional slipper-clutch assembly.
