FAQ
Is the Prime RC Mini SF260 brushless? No. The verified specification lists a 1020 coreless motor with a geared power system. A coreless motor is a type of brushed motor.
Is the Mini SF260 ready to fly? Yes. The package includes the assembled aircraft, Mode 2 transmitter, flight battery and USB charging cable. Four AA batteries may be required for the transmitter.
What is Mode 2? Mode 2 places throttle and rudder on the left transmitter stick, with elevator and aileron on the right stick. It is the most commonly used transmitter layout in Australia.
How do the three gyro modes work? Beginner mode provides strong gyro assistance, Middle mode reduces the amount of assistance and Expert mode disables gyro assistance for manual flying.
Does the gyro fly the plane automatically? No. The gyro helps stabilise the aircraft, but the pilot must still control its direction, speed, altitude, takeoff and landing.
How does one-key takeoff work? After the aircraft is powered on and bound, activate the takeoff function from the transmitter and apply throttle as directed in the supplied instructions.
Can it perform rolls and loops? Yes. The one-key aerobatics function can command an automatic roll or loop when the aircraft has sufficient altitude and is being flown in suitable conditions.
What does the one-key U-turn do? It commands the aircraft to turn towards the opposite direction from its recorded takeoff heading. It is not GPS return-to-home and does not control altitude or land the aircraft.

Can it take off from the ground? Yes. Ground takeoff requires a smooth surface with enough runway length. Hand launching is generally more practical when flying from grass.
How should it be hand launched? Point the aircraft into the wind and launch it firmly with the wings level. Avoid throwing it steeply upward, as this can cause an immediate stall.
What happens if the propeller strikes an obstacle? The propeller-saver system allows the propeller to release during some impacts, helping reduce damage to the propeller and motor system.
