FAQ

Is the Yokomo RD2.0 RDR-020G ready to run? No. RDR-020G is an unassembled chassis kit. The gyro is included, but the radio system, ESC, steering servo, motor, battery, charger, wheels, tyres and body are required separately.

What is the difference between Yokomo RDR-020 and RDR-020G? Both are Rookie Drift RD2.0 chassis kits, but RDR-020G includes the Yokomo YG-302V2 steering gyro. The standard RDR-020 kit does not include this gyro.

Is the Yokomo RD2.0 suitable for a beginner? Yes. Yokomo developed the Rookie Drift RD2.0 with ease of driving as a priority. Increased steering angle and improved rear grip are intended to make RWD drifting more accessible to drivers starting in RC drift.

Why does an RWD drift car need a gyro? A steering gyro detects rotation of the car and assists with counter-steering, helping stabilise the vehicle during a drift. The RDR-020G includes Yokomo's YG-302V2 gyro specifically for this purpose.

What battery does the Yokomo RD2.0 use? Yokomo specifies a 2S LiPo or 6-cell Ni-Cd / Ni-MH drive battery. The updated battery holder is designed to accommodate both short and long battery configurations.
