The Hobbywing QuicRun WP-1060 is a waterproof 60A brushed electronic speed controller designed for compatible 1/10 scale RC cars, trucks, buggies and rock crawlers. FAQ

Can the Hobbywing WP-1060 run on a 3S LiPo battery? Yes. The WP-1060 supports 2S–3S LiPo operation with a compatible brushed motor. Hobbywing specifies a minimum 18-turn 540 or 550 motor on 3S LiPo and a minimum 12-turn motor on 2S LiPo. Always check the motor's voltage rating and the vehicle's gearing.

Is the WP-1060 compatible with brushless motors? No. This ESC is designed exclusively for brushed DC motors. Brushless motors require a compatible brushless ESC.

Can the WP-1060 be used in an RC rock crawler? Yes. The Forward/Reverse driving mode is suitable for compatible rock crawlers requiring direct directional control. The separate Forward/Brake/Reverse mode is also available for general RC driving.

Does the WP-1060 include a Tamiya battery connector? Yes. This HWAPWP1060 version is supplied with a large Tamiya-style battery connector and 4mm female bullet connectors for the motor. Check the battery and motor plug types before installation.

Important Notes

• This ESC supports brushed motors only and must not be connected to a brushless motor.
• Hobbywing specifies 6–9 NiMH cells for the WP-1060, although some Australian distributor descriptions state 5–9 cells. Follow the manufacturer's rated battery range.
• Observe the motor turn limits for the chosen battery voltage. Excessively low-turn motors can overload the ESC.
• Select the correct LiPo or NiMH battery setting using the jumper caps before operation.
• Never reverse battery polarity. Incorrect battery connections can permanently damage the ESC and battery.
• Check battery connector compatibility and current requirements before use.
• Configure the running mode appropriately for the vehicle and driving conditions.
