FAQ

Is the Prime RC Mini AT-6 ready to fly? Yes. It is supplied with the aircraft, Mode 2 transmitter, flight battery, USB charging cable and transmitter batteries.

What is Mode 2? Mode 2 places throttle and rudder on the left transmitter stick, with elevator and aileron on the right stick. It is the most commonly used transmitter layout in Australia.

How do the three gyro modes work? Beginner mode provides strong assistance, Middle mode reduces the level of stabilisation and Expert mode turns gyro assistance off for manual control.

Does the gyro fly the aircraft automatically? No. The gyro helps stabilise the model, but the pilot must still control direction, altitude, throttle and landing.

Does it have one-key landing? No verified product documentation was found for an automatic landing function. The model includes one-key takeoff, one-key aerobatics and one-key U-turn.

How does one-key takeoff work? After the aircraft is powered on and bound, the pilot activates the takeoff function from the transmitter and applies full throttle as directed in the instructions.

What does the one-key U-turn function do? It turns the aircraft towards the opposite direction from its recorded takeoff heading. It is not GPS return-to-home and does not automatically control altitude or landing.

Can it perform rolls and loops? Yes. The one-key aerobatics function can command automatic rolls and loops when used with adequate altitude and in suitable flight conditions.

Is this suitable for a first-time pilot? The gyro assistance, low weight and durable EPP construction make it more approachable than a fully manual warbird. Beginners should still practise in calm weather and use a large, open flying area.

Can it take off from the ground? Yes. It can perform a ground takeoff from a smooth, sufficiently long surface or be hand launched when suitable.

How should it be hand launched? Launch into the wind with the wings level and the recommended throttle setting. Avoid throwing the aircraft steeply upward, as this can cause a stall.

What happens during a propeller strike? The propeller-saver system allows the propeller to detach during some impacts, helping reduce damage to the propeller and onboard electronics.

Can it be flown indoors? It may be flown indoors only in a large, unobstructed venue such as a sports hall. It is not suitable for use in normal household rooms.

How much wind can it handle? As a lightweight 75g aircraft, it is best flown in calm or very light wind. Stronger wind can carry the model away or make landing difficult.
