FAQ

Which Futaba transmitters are compatible with the R202GF? The Futaba R202GF works with compatible Futaba transmitters operating in S-FHSS or FHSS mode. It is not compatible with FASST, FASSTest or T-FHSS transmission modes. OZRC recommends checking the transmitter's supported radio protocols before purchasing.

Can I use an analogue servo with the Futaba R202GF? Yes. Analogue servos can be used when the receiver operates in S-FHSS Normal mode or a compatible FHSS configuration. S-FHSS High Speed mode requires suitable digital servos and must not be used with analogue servos.

How do I bind the Futaba R202GF to my transmitter? Turn on the compatible Futaba transmitter and receiver, position them close together and press the receiver's link button according to Futaba's instructions. The LED illuminates solid green when linking is complete. Cycle receiver power and verify correct transmitter control before operating the vehicle.

Can the Futaba R202GF receiver use a 7.4V power supply? Yes. The Futaba R202GF has a specified operating voltage range of 4.8–7.4V DC. Any connected servos or other components must also be rated for the selected voltage. Do not connect an unregulated drive battery directly unless its voltage remains within the receiver and connected equipment ratings.

Important Notes

  • Compatible with Futaba S-FHSS and FHSS transmission systems only. Not compatible with FASST, FASSTest or T-FHSS modes.
  • S-FHSS High Speed mode requires suitable digital servos. Analogue servos must not be used in this mode.
  • Check the voltage rating of all connected servos and electronics before selecting the receiver power supply.
  • Futaba advises against using dry-cell batteries as a direct receiver power supply. Use a suitable regulated supply or compatible rechargeable receiver battery.
  • The battery failsafe function is intended for a four-cell NiCd/NiMH receiver battery and may not operate correctly with other battery types. Its availability also depends on the radio transmission mode.
  • After binding, verify correct steering, throttle direction and failsafe operation before driving.
  • A compatible transmitter, servos, ESC, receiver battery and other vehicle electronics are not included.
