FAQ
Which Futaba transmitters are compatible with the R3006SB? The Futaba R3006SB requires a transmitter supporting Futaba T-FHSS Air, such as the compatible Futaba 6K. It does not support S-FHSS, T-FHSS Surface, FHSS, FASST or FASSTest. OZRC recommends confirming the exact transmitter protocol before purchasing.
Does the Futaba R3006SB have six channels or eight channels? The R3006SB provides six conventional PWM channel outputs and supports S.BUS digital control. Compatible eight-channel transmitters, such as the Futaba 6K, can use additional channels through suitable S.BUS equipment.
Can the Futaba R3006SB provide telemetry information? Yes. The R3006SB supports bidirectional T-FHSS Air telemetry through S.BUS2. Receiver voltage can be monitored, while additional information such as altitude, temperature, RPM and external voltage requires compatible optional sensors and a suitable transmitter.
Can standard S.BUS servos be connected to the S.BUS2 port? No. Standard S.BUS servos and gyros must use the appropriate S.BUS output. The S.BUS2 port is intended for compatible S.BUS2 devices and telemetry sensors. Connecting incompatible equipment may cause incorrect operation.
Important Notes
- The R3006SB operates with Futaba T-FHSS Air transmitters only. T-FHSS Air and T-FHSS Surface are different transmission systems and are not interchangeable.
- A transmitter supporting both T-FHSS Air and S-FHSS must be configured to T-FHSS Air when using this receiver.
- The SB/6 connection is configurable for conventional Channel 6 or S.BUS operation. Check the required channel mode before connecting equipment.
- Do not connect standard S.BUS servos or gyros directly to the S.BUS2 port.
- Futaba specifies 4.8–7.4V DC as the rated voltage. Ensure the receiver power supply and connected servos remain within their respective operating limits.
- Do not use ordinary dry-cell batteries as a direct receiver power supply. Use a suitable rechargeable receiver battery or regulated supply.
- Position the two aerials approximately 90 degrees apart for effective diversity reception and keep them clear of conductive structures.
- Protect the receiver from excessive vibration, moisture and impact using suitable mounting and installation methods.
- Telemetry sensors, transmitter, servos, receiver battery, ESC and aircraft are not included.
- Complete receiver binding, control direction checks, failsafe configuration and a radio range check before flight.
